I stopped in here because I was craving some spicy hot crawfish, and I was not disappointed. There are not too many places in Orlando that serve good crawfish, and this establishment has great crawfish. Hot N' Juicy in Dr. Phillips is good as well, but New Orleans has a much spicier boil if requested, or a very tasty butter garlic flavor too. The staff was very helpful and attentive, the interior was quiet and homely, and the prices were spectacular. They have a deal going on where if you buy two crawfish specials (2lbs, 1 potato, 1 corn for $12.50) you get the third free. So for about $25.00 you can feed a small group by getting 6lbs of crawfish, three potatoes, and three corns all seasoned to your liking. For the price this place serves spectacular food and I would highly recommend it. Oh and you can't leave without trying the Beignets as desert, delicious.

This is my fourth visit, I purchased the special one pound of headless shrimp with potato and corn. I do recommend you ask for the garlic sauce on the side otherwise it's just poured in. All I can say this time it was absolutely delicious, the price is right for what they offer. Don't look for fine china, this is very casual dining, plastic plates, spoons, forks, if you're looking for fancy china go to a place that's twice as expensive. I would rather get served good food at a great price. Their gumbo even rivals New Orleans itself.

They usually say flag ship food spots aren't as good as the originals, and in this case that's 100% correct. I visited the store on West Colonial and my review was nothing but high praises, so I decided to check out the closer store since it's owned by the same management. Big mistake! Store is much nicer than the original but the food isn't. I ordered exactly the same as before, lb crawfish and a lb of shrimp. Crawfish was ok but under seasoned, I had an unusual large amount of claws, more claws than what would have been on the amount of Crawfish. Majority tasted weird so I didn't finish them. The shrimp was soft and mushy with no taste, I mean there was seasoning poured on top but it looked like it was more water than seasoning. I will not be going back to this place, it has totally ruined what would have been my second experience, now I'm weary about trying again.

Nice little place, the service was great and I really enjoyed the crab leg meal that I had. (Order the Cajun garlic, it's spicy and garlicy!) You order at the counter and pay first, then head to one of the tables. Prices were great and I left full. My wife's shrimp sandwich had great flavor, everything had a nice spice to it. Surprised it wasn't more busy, but it seemed like mostly take out orders. The guy behind the counter offered to change the TV to whatever we wanted to watch, which was nice.

I heard about this place from a friend that turned me on to a great little spot for Haitian food so when he told me about this place, I was very excited. Since we had already eaten dinner, we thought we would try it today. When we arrived it smelled wonderful. It is a very casual setting just like you would expect in New Orleans. We already knew we wanted to try the 2 pounds of crawfish with potato and corn for $12.50 because my friend RAVED about it. One order regular and one order extra spicy. The lady working there was very pleasant and had a bit of that southern charm to her. She was a real pleasure to meet. We paid for our meal, got our drinks and found a table to sit at. About 15 minutes later the lady that took our order brought us our food and it looked and smelled wonderful. I let my wife try it to ensure she got the spicy order. The first thing I noticed was the crawfish were much smaller than I had tried at the other places in the area. To my surprise they were a bit overcooked and kind of chewy with much less seasoning than I was expecting. The meat itself actually had a bit of a sweet flavor which was nice. I tried one of hers and was again surprised that it was far from the spice level I had expected since she ordered hers spicy. The potato was a white potato and not a red creamer that I have normally received with an order of crawfish. There was very little seasoning and that was a bit disappointing but it was completely cooked. The corn was way overcooked and aside from the small dollop of seasoning on the cob, it was basically flavorless. That was also very disappointing. I was really expecting a much better meal because when we were in line, the couple in front of us was raving how it was REAL New Orleans Crawfish. I have been to New Orleans many times and at several mom and pop places in New Orleans and I have NEVER been served crawfish this lacking in seasoning with medium sized white potatoes and mushy corn. Either they just had a bad night or my friend has never been to New Orleans as I have been many times. I will stop in ONE more time within a month or two just to see if this was just an off night or if this is what they typically serve. If they added more seasoning to the pot, used creamer potatoes and did not overcook the corn, this place does have potential. If my next trip is better than tonight's experience, I will adjust my rating but to be truthful, I would not recommend this place at present based on tonight's dining experience.

Located on Aloma Ave, near the intersection of Goldenrod Rd in the former Cheddar Jack's building. I've popped in here on several occasions for lunch and have enjoyed a great experience each time. The service is nice, food is good and I can get in and out pretty quickly. I've enjoyed the Oyster Po Boy, the Crawfish Po Boy and the Shrimp Po Boy. All were tasty, The Oyster Po Boy was probably my favorite so far. On my visit last week, I noticed they had a few Mardi Gras specials listed on the board. The other diners had everything ranging from Po Boys to boiled crawfish, to fried shrimp dinners. Per the usual, I end up chatting with another table while finishing up, and I was told the crawfish were good, though a bit small. Obviously an expert, as I saw a pile of good looking crawfish. (Ask me about blue crabs, I'm your girl!) The table enjoying the fried shrimp said theirs was delicious and they would order again; the shrimp did look yummy. I was checked on several times to see if I wanted refills on my drink. Several people came in for take out while I was dining in, I'll have to try take out at some point.

So glad that this restaurant opened up a location on the east side! Years ago when their first restaurant opened up in Pine Hills, my group would travel to the other side of town just to order their crawfish special. Honestly, we were there so much that I actually got sick of eating crawfish. Blasphemy, i know. Anyway, back to present day! I saw New Orleans replaced Cheddar Jacks on Aloma and wondered if it was the same owners of the other location. Several days later Kay Y. read my mind and posted a tip that confirmed it was the same people, yay! The restaurant is cozy with it's random decorations and small dining area. There is a waitress, so pick a table and let her answer any questions you may have. My group got a little bit of everything so that we could try and share some items. Crawfish special, fried seafood plate, small gumbo, and a single burger. Yep you read that right, a single burger patty. Turns out this location offers burgers, cheesesteaks, and some sandwiches too! This place is perfect for couples that have 1 seafood lover and 1 beef lover. The crawfish special has 2 lbs of crawfish, 1 corn on the cob, and a red potato. We had our crawfish seasoned with both garlic butter and cajun seasonings. I suggest you go the mixed seasoning route unless you know that you can handle super spicy cajun. Our food was served piping hot and super flavorful! The only downside was the overcooked corn, boo! Anyway, things to note: 1) They don't offer bibs or disposable gloves to patrons. Trust me and bring your own! You don't want to get your hands and clothes all greasy and have them smelling like garlic the next morning even if you washed them 10 times. 2) They don't serve beer or alcohol. I hope in the coming months they can offer other beverage choices than soda or coffee. 3) If you feel like ordering a burger then tell them how well you like your burger patty done. We weren't asked so I was slightly surprised when I saw how our burger was medium rare. All in all it was a great experience here! Can't wait to come back and try out their Vietnamese offerings of spring rolls or noodle soup bowls. YUM!

This New Orleans Cajun Seafood is a branch off of the one on West Colonial. I was really glad to hear that they opened one on the East side of town. I ordered the Crawfish special, which consisted of two lbs of crawfish, a corn, and a potato, all for $12.99. Very very inexpensive. If you want live crawfish, the price jacks up to $16.99. But it's still worth it. When I went, it felt kind of awkward. It was only my boyfriend and our friend in our party. There was a couple who seemed to be friends with a worker there, who didn't eat and just sat there to watch a tennis match on TV. The workers who were not busy cooking just sat around in the dining area, eating crawfish themselves or just watching TV. The food itself was pretty good- hence the three stars. But next time, I might consider getting take-out instead of dining in.

We'd been wanting to try this little place near our neighborhood for a while, but over our meal my husband said "So am I safe to say we won't be coming back here?" Granted, we had fried shrimp and fried catfish and not crawfish or crab, but the catfish was tasteless, the potato salad tasted nearly rancid, and even the iced tea tasted old or scalded. The fried shrimp were good, but the other items were a little scary! We love frequenting smaller, local, independent places, but this is one we won't be returning to. :-(

Excellent crawfish! Very reasonable prices...a pound of crawfish for six bucks. Spicy Gumbo for a few bucks. This place is awesome!

I was certainly under impressed, particularly after having read the reviews of their sister location. The gumbo was okay, but I probably wouldn't order it again.

My wife and I stopped in here on a whim as it was around lunch time and the tummy was growling. Now, to be honest, I'm from south Louisiana and have eaten my weight and then some in shrimp poboys so when I visit a new "cajun" place, that entree is my barometer and litmus test if I'll come back or not. The place is reminiscent of many of the small out of the way cajun seafood places I have stopped in through my travels around Louisiana. The decor is plain and simple with some cajun/french pictures on the wall, the tables are basic and you can sit outside if you like. We ordered the shrimp poboy, fries, and ice tea. The fries were hot and delicious. The shrimp poboy was served wrapped in a heavy paper like we were taking it home with us. Jumping ahead, my wife took half of her poboy home as it was too much for her to eat. The bread was good, very much like the bread I would have found in Louisiana, thick and crusty on the outside capable of keeping the ingredients contained. One of the ways I measure a shrimp poboy is by how many shrimp fall out of it while I'm eating it. I was not disappointed, at least a dozen or more popcorn shrimp were in my plate when I finished. The lettuce was chopped fine and slices of tomatoes abound. All in all, I left full, happy, and looking forward to my next trip where I'll sample something else. The service was great and engaged with us enough that if we needed something they would be accommodating, but they were not in our face every 5 minutes allowing me and the wife to enjoy our meal and watch the TV on the wall. I have eaten at Tibbys and they were great too. The NOCS place is close by and makes a perfect go-to place. I didn't check out the entire menu and will in the future. The prices were reasonable, not super cheap but very affordable, hey, we all have to make a profit right?

mobile review 02/07/14- I tried this place before it became Cajun over night and it was not a good experience. I decided to give it try instead if going to Tibby's and again was not satisfied. No blue crabs, no oysters, and the 1lb of snow crab I did order was served still frozen. I watched three groups of people walk in and walk right out they because they were understaffed. I was offered a $6.00 burger in place of the $13.00 lb of crab . Do not waste your time here if you are getting seafood or Cajun. Save your money and go to Tibbys or publixs or elsewhere because this establishment is in needs help.

This restaurant is and always will be the best crawfish I have ever had! I used to frequent to one on west colonial but this one is much closer to my house and has the exact same food quality and taste. Their shrimp po boy is to die for! Two thumbs up for this place!

My boyfriend just moved to winter park so we looked on Google to find the closest seafood place near us and stumbled upon this hidden treasure! I ordered the "little bit of everything special which included snow crab, crawfish and shrimp with corn and a baked potato, all seasoned in a spicy Cajun seasoning. IT WAS INCREDIBLE. So happy I found this fresh local place!
